09/2016: Rectangular cuts of steel beams with the Electric Band Saw

Task

Our customer was looking for a special solution to cut steel H-beams (300 mm x 300 mm) near ground level. The machine had to be prepared for a single-person operation and for rectangular cuts. Additionally the machine had to be driven electrically and should be prepared for mobile applications.

Solution

As an individual solution we used an existing Electric Band Saw for this application. Based on several modifications we developed a new Electric Band Saw type 5 6084 1900 with a specially designed clamp type 5 6084 9000.

Use

1. Position the clamp
2. Fix the clamp
3. Mount the saw on the clamp
4. Switch-on the motor
5. Control the feed by using the handle of the clamp
6. Cut the steel H-beam
