iMT and SPITZNAS Maschinenfabrik look back on 10 years of successful co-operation. It started in 2002 with an inquiry regarding repairs of plastic dosing pumps being common on the market.
The dialogue with the customer originated the requirement of an up-to-date plastic dosing pump. This was the source of the idea of customizing an existing pump of our product range.
The first prototypes were supplied in 2003 and tested in the field for various applications. The tests were executed for months and without any claims.
Since 2005 the standard type has been an axial piston pump 12 ccm with right hand rotation and the reference A-1931-0020.
Type A-1931-0020.
From the point of view of iMT, developments are continuously proceeding in the direction of smaller and smaller volumes to dose.
Despite of an frequency controlled electric motor, the system with a 12 ccm pump at a conveying capacity of 0.5 l/min has reached its physical limit.
This inevitably induces the desire of a smaller pump.
Meeting this requirement, SPITZNAS has started to develop a concept of a 6 ccm plastic dosing pump on the basis of a bent-axis axial piston pump. A prototype is planned to be available in summer 2013, which iMT wants to test again.
Regarding the production of spare parts for drive units for A2VK, nearly the whole market need has moved to the smallest size of 12 ccm, whereas in the past the main focus was on 28 ccm size.
The new pump shall complete the scope of mixing and dosing devices, allowing iMT to keep on applying successfully their plants according to the current requirements in the
application areas:

May be with the new pump further application opportunities are being opened for iMT, SPITZNAS and our customers.
